Charleston Receipts

This is a book from my Mother’s cookbook collection. It was created in 1950 by the Junior League of Charleston. This book has some interesting Gullah lines and verses, illustrations as well as recipes.

I discovered that Gullah is a creole language spoken primarily by people living in the coastal regions of South Carolina and Georgia
