Turtles

I have had a love of turtles all my life. Growing up in Texas, turtles were common. I had many turtles as pets growing up. After leaving Texas pet turtles were not part of my life until 1995 when I adopted two desert tortoises which in 2019 I still have. Over the years, I have also accumulated a large collection of decorative turtles and tortoises

Stamps

Stamp collecting was motivated by my Dad, Dale Leipper. He traveled extensively in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He would always try to mail cards and letters home with stamps from the countries he visited.

Cooking

Cooking is something I have always enjoyed. In 2019 I decided to turn this interest into a “hobby”. I expanded my efforts to try new recipes. I also expanded my efforts to photograph my experiments and use these to create a series of photo galleries.

Pets - greyhounds

I adopted my first greyhound in 1995. Over the years, I adopted two more. Greyhounds are special dogs and I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know their unique characteristics.

Pets - Lovebird

This lovebird showed up at the bird feeder in our yard in 2017. I managed to capture him and he has been entertaining us ever since.

Camping

Camping in our family goes back at least 100 years. For the most part, it has been trailer camping, In the early 1950’s my grandparents, Bryan and Jo Harrison bought an Airstream and our family has been Airstreamers ever since.
