Our families collection of Tupperware goes back to the 1950’s. I have vague memories of Mother hosting Tupperware Parties. I know I hosted at least one and attended others. In the 1980’s I attended a Tupperware convention with my friend Ovida Mosconi who was a Tupperware representative. The collection also includes Tupperware that Bryan picked up as well as some from Janet and possibly some from Anita. There may also be some additions from other family members. Some Tupperware was thrift store finds.
In November 2024 I finally decided to create a photo inventory of all the Tupperware. This was quite a chore. The first job was to collect all the Tupperware in one place. This took me off and on almost two weeks. Tupperware was scattered in several different locations. I started collecting from all the known locations. Some of it was so incorporated into daily living I didn’t think of it as Tupperware until my memory was jogged. I also checked Ebay and that triggered memories of other Tupperware. Even a couple of weeks into the project, another piece would pop up in my mind. As I am working with “the hoard” I have realized there are still some pieces I know should be here but I haven’t figured out where they are. Once I had the majority of the Tupperware in one location I started taking photos. I started with what I knew where complete sets. I soon realized I needed to sort the rest of the material to make sure I had all like pieces together with their lids. I did this using plastic bags for each type of Tupperware.
Note from Anita - Seeing these pictures makes me realize that I had quite a bit of Tupperware. I think most of mine came from thrift shops. I did have some microwave pieces. Several with the wavy lids. The smooth bowls with lids that could also be plates. My first Tupperware was given to me for a babysitting job. The celery keeper.
These booklets came with some of the Tupperware products. The titles refer to the type of product. There are a variety of recipes in each booklet
Note: In collecting the Tupperware I have discovered that there are pieces missing. I may find some of them over time. If and when I do they will be added to the photo galleries. Some pieces I am looking for include a loaf pan, a salad crisper, and two roasting pans.
