Carrot Pudding

1 cup grated carrot

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon cloves

1 cup grated potato

1/2 teaspoon soda

1 cup chopped apples

1 cup finely chopped suet

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup nuts

1 cup raisins

1 teaspoon nutmeg


1 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon




Steam 2 hours

This needs to be steamed the same way as the plum pudding. Pour pudding into a mold or coffee tins and put aluminum over tops. place on grill in large pot and pour hot water in up to about two thirds up the mold.
