Truckee Meadows Quilters 2010 Annual Quilt Show

The TMQ held it's annual show at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV in July 2010. A great way to see some fantastic quilts and fantastic cars all in one place at one time.

Not long after Mom (Virginia Leipper) passed away in October 2009 we were contacted by TMQ member, Diane McKiddie. She would be responsible for the Memorial tribute section of the 2010 Quilt Show. She wanted to know if we would like to have some of Mom's quilts included. Diane ultimately chose five of Mom's quilts for display. Mom's quilts were placed in a prominent location at the quilt show. They were the first quilts you saw as you entered the show. Needless to say we are very honored and thankful to Diane and all of TMQ for the opportunity to remember Mom in this very special way. In addition, the museum had a special display of camping in the early 1900's. Mom grew up camping with her family. This display was so reminiscent of the stories and photos of her early camping experiences. This just made the quilt show even more special.
